Tourists take holiday in Iraq

A group of British, American and Canadian tourists have taken a 17 day package holiday in Iraq, visiting historic sites and religious shrines.

Tour operator, Geoff Hann, of Hinterland Travel declined security for the trip that covered the Irbil area, Baghdad, Babylon, Nippur, Warka, Ur, Basra, Najaf and Karbala.

British tourist, Tina Townsend Greaves, says she believes Iraq is safe for tourists but thinks a few more sites need to be opened up to travellers.
