Palestinian rivals remain divided

Egyptian-mediated negotiations are continuing to try to draw up a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

It is also hoped the talks will pave the way for reconciliation between rival Palestinian factions.

But those in Gaza who had hoped Hamas and Fatah would unite following the Israeli offensive have so far been left disappointed.
