The US envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, has said that President Barack Obama is ''deeply concerned'' about the plight of people in Gaza.
He announced aid from the US of $20.3m (�14.1m) for food and medical supplies to Gazans wounded and displaced by the conflict with Israel.
