Several Israeli residents were injured during rocket attacks on Friday according to Israeli rescue services.
Medics reported that two people were lightly injured when a rocket launched from Gaza hit the southern Israeli city of Ashdod and the town of Kiryat Gat.
Sirens echoed across the city streets prompting people to rush to a nearby shelter.
