Comedian Harry Hill was a double winner at the Bafta TV Awards in London on Sunday. His zany TV Burp show earned him best entertainment performance and best entertainment programme. Gavin and Stacey co-writers and co-stars James Corden and Ruth Jones celebrated Corden's prize for best comedy performance and the show's audience award for most popular programme. Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth capped his 80th birthday year with Bafta's highest honour, the Academy Fellowship. Forsyth's Strictly Come Dancing co-host Tess Daly was among the other stars to have walked down the red carpet. Holby City producer Tony McHale (left) and actor Robert Powell enjoyed their success over EastEnders, Emmerdale and The Bill. Sid Owen and Patsy Palmer - who recently returned to EastEnders as Ricky and Bianca - swapped Albert Square for the London Palladium. Amanda Holden was at the ceremony to cheer on her show Britain's Got Talent, which lost out on the two awards it was nominated for. Joanna Lumley, who turned up in a bright orange gown, presented the best actor award to Andrew Garfield. Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp, hosts of Channel 4's Location, Location, Location, sized up the properties in London's West End. New Zealand-born Alan Dale, who has starred in Ugly Betty, The OC, 24 and Neighbours, was among the foreign stars at the event. Former model Melinda Messenger needed some help with her elaborate dress on the red carpet.
