Matt Horne and James Corden, the stars of BBC Three comedy Gavin and Stacey, were the hosts of this year's awards, held at the O2 in Greenwich, south-east London. Dev Hynes - otherwise known as Lightspeed Champion - struck a strange pose ahead of the ceremony, at which he performed wearing a Darth Vader costume. Klaxons picked up the best album award for their debut record Myths of the Near Future. Ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr reprised his former band's classic track Panic with Cribs. Comic outfit The Mighty Boosh were rewarded with the prize for best TV show. Noel Fielding (left) was voted sexiest male and best dressed male. Drummer Matt Helders (left) celebrates a triple win for the Arctic Monkeys by munching on a toffee apple. Kate Nash told the audience she was "genuinely surprised" to pick up the award for best solo artist. The Manic Street Preachers rounded off the awards with a three-song set after being given the Godlike Genius award. The rock group were joined by fellow Welsh singer Cerys Matthews for a duet of Your Love Alone is Not Enough. Kaiser Chiefs performed hits including Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Modern Way at the post-awards Big Gig at the O2.
