Twins Amanda and Sam, the first housemates to enter Channel 4's Big Brother house, were greeted by boos from the crowds outside. Lesley, 60, a member of the Women's Institute, is the oldest housemate to enter the house this year. She is a grandmother of two and has a personal trainer, as well as a cook. Charley is an unemployed lap dancer and the cousin of Manchester United's Kieran Richardson. The crowd took an instant dislike to her, chanting "get a job". Housemate Tracey hopes to become an actress. As she got out of the car, the 36-year-old could be heard saying "have it" and "get in" to the crowd. Chanelle is obsessed with Victoria Beckham. She stopped for photographers outside the house to pout like her idol. Shabnam's main ambition is to travel the world and enjoy life. As the 22-year-old arrived she urged the audience to cheer for her, saying she was nervous. Student Emily believes everyone has the right to make money and to keep it. She claims she will be the housemate whom the public most want to be friends with. Laura, from South Wales, blew kisses to the crowd and 'high-fived' some of the people cheering her from behind the barriers. Nicky, 27, hates men, but admits to fancying Calum Best. She predicts the other housemates may nominate her for eviction, because of her preference for straight-talking. Carole is a political protester. The 53-year-old seemed to be a huge hit with the crowd, who gave her the loudest cheer of the night.
