The BBC is celebrating the life and works of Shakespeare with a range of programmes across TV and radio. Four dramas are being "re-told" on BBC One. Johnny Vegas (centre), Imelda Staunton (far right) and Bill Paterson (right) are the big names in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Much Ado About Nothing stars Billie Piper (centre), Damian Lewis (far left) and Sarah Parish (far right). Parish and Lewis star as Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. The play is set in the back-biting world of regional news. Macbeth is transported to the competitive world of a restaurant kitchen. James McAvoy is Macbeth while Joseph Millson is Billy. Shirley Henderson and Rufus Sewell star in The Taming of the Shrew, with "shrewish" Kate (Henderson) as an MP. The series starts on Monday on BBC One at 2030 GMT.
