| |  Thursday, 29 June, 2000, 19:15 GMT 20:15 UK Stadium guide: Morocco on track The Mohammed V Sports Complex Morocco's builders have been on hold for the last 12 years as the country has tried and failed in two previous bids to host the World Cup. The Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca is the regular venue when Morocco hosts the King Hassan II Cup. It currently holds 67,000 spectators but is only covered on one side. Four more of Morocco's stadiums are in the process of being upgraded while work has started on the new Grand Stadium in Casablanca which will seat 80,000 people. New stadiums will also be built in Settat El Jadida, Nador and Agadir if Morocco get the nomination. Almost all of Morocco's stadiums have been designed with running tracks and without roofs - so the atmosphere could suffer as a result. | |
