Britain still facing chronic housing shortage

Three years ago house prices were rising and cheap mortgages were easily available, but the onset of the financial crisis made it harder for people to buy homes.

But even though the economy is rising out of recession, Britain still faces a chronic shortage of housing.

Richard Westcott looks at the current state of the British housing market.
