Cancer survival: In graphics | | Survival rates from cancer have doubled in the last 30 years, according to figures from Cancer Research UK. Figures dating back to 1971 show changes in the chance of surviving different cancers five and 10 years after diagnosis.
The prevalence of different cancers has also changed over the years. A selection of some of the UK's most common cancers are shown in the graph below.
