Volunteers from the Channel Islands are being recognised by the Queen for their work in the community. They have been invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Friday.
Representatives from Jersey's Bereavement Service, Guernsey-based Channel Islands Air Search and Guernsey Women's Refuge are attending.
The three organisations have all received nominations from members of the public for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
The scheme was launched by the Queen to mark her Golden Jubilee in 2003. It aims to recognise those who devote their time to helping others.
The refuge's chairman Mary Lowe said: "It is a great honour to receive this prestigious award on behalf of all those involved with the Guernsey Women's Refuge.
"To receive this award from Her Majesty the Queen is an absolute delight to all of those involved who give of their time so tirelessly. "
