Plan to keep free milk deliveries
People in Jersey who get free deliveries of subsidised milk will continue to do so if a proposal from a States Member is approved.

Deputy Geoff Southern wants Social Security to work with other committees to devise a system which will allow the continued free delivery to continue.

He is also asking the Finance Committee to find finance to fund the scheme.

In 2003 8,500 people had subsidised milk - the estimated cost of the free delivery is about 40,000.
