They will also hold their own version of question time |
Young people in Jersey are to debate whether smoking should be banned in island workplaces. It is one of a number of topics being discussed at the annual Youth Assembly.
It is the eighth time young people from Jersey have taken over the island's States Chamber to discuss issues which matter to them.
On the agenda are questions about whether smoking should be banned from workplaces and whether Jersey's immigration rules should be changed.
Active role
They will also consider whether the age at which you can vote should be different for men and women.
As well as debating those issues, the youngsters will also hold their own version of question time which will be almost identical to that normally held in the States.
It is hoped it will help the youngsters involved learn more about debating and encourage them to play a more active role in the island in future.
