Exemption views sought on new law
Small businesses in Jersey could be exempt from regulations in the new competition law.

The island's competition watchdog is asking for comments from businesses before the next stage of the law is implemented in November.

From 1 November the Jersey Competition and Regulatory Authority (JCRA) will have the power to deal with anti-competitive behaviour.

Interested parties have until 3 October to submit their comments.

Bill Brown, executive director of the JCRA, says the Chamber of Commerce has told the organisation it would support exemptions on small businesses.
