Airline company expands business
Rockhopper
The expanded firm hopes to offer flights and accommodation
A Channel Island airline and a health company which owns hotels have gone in to business together in a bid to attract more customers.

Airline Rockhopper has sold a 50% stake in its business to the vitamin supply company Healthspan.

The Guernsey-based firm made its name by supplying vitamins and supplements through mail order.

But it has recently branched into the hospitality industry and owns three Channel Island hotels.

Rockhopper says the cash invested by Healthspan will enable it to offer passengers a one-stop shop for flights and accommodation.

The firm's expansion is likely to increase the rivalry on Channel Island routes, especially between Rockhopper and the Guernsey state-owned airline Aurigny.
