Jersey's States members will debate how taxpayers' money should be spent on return from their summer break. The island's Resource Plan outlines how much money the States will get in tax revenue over the next few years and what it should be spent on.
The plan for 2005 to 2009 takes into account a predicted slowdown in the amount of cash generated by income tax.
It also mentions what will happen after 2009, when a 10% rate of corporation tax begins and income tax money falls.
Cost of living
The plan balances predicted income against spending needs, with health and education being given priority over other areas such as tourism, agriculture and planning.
The on-going issue of States workers' pay could also come up in Tuesday's debate.
Over the next four years a 2.5% pay rise has been budgeted for, which is lower than the estimated increase in Jersey's cost of living.
Prices on the island have risen by 18% in the last four years.
