An offer of free parking spaces for Jersey's politicians at two public car parks has been withdrawn. Last month the decision was taken by Public Services to allow States members to park free of charge in Sand Street and Pier Road car parks.
It follows redevelopment of their current parking at the Island Site.
But that move was described as irresponsible and ill-timed by Deputy Roy Le Herissier, President of Privileges and Procedures.
Public Services Vice President, Deputy Jacqui Hilton, said the free parking agreement had been made to allow time for the issue of States Members' pay and expenses to be addressed.
But she has now handed the decision over saying it is for Privileges and Procedures to decide whether politicians should pay or not.
