The website is part of efforts make government more transparent |
People in Jersey interested in the work of the panels set up to scrutinise decisions taken by the government can now read about them on the internet. A website has been created for the work of the Shadow Scrutiny Panels in a step to improving States' accountability.
The two panels were formed in March and are already reviewing issues such as drug use and the island's water supply.
The website includes terms of reference of reviews, dates of public hearings and the evidence given at them.
The site also features information about the Shadow Public Accounts Committee, which monitors how public money is spent.
There are also explanations of the scrutiny process and how islanders can get involved.
The site is part of efforts make government more open.
