Ferry crossings hit by high winds

Manannan
All four Saturday sailings have been cancelled

Ferry customers hoping to sail between the Isle of Man and Liverpool over the weekend have been facing disruption.

All fastcraft sailings between Douglas and the Mersey port on Saturday were cancelled because of severe weather conditions in the Irish Sea.

The Steam Packet Company services affected are the 0730 BST and 1530 BST Douglas departures, and the 1130 BST and 1930 BST sailings from Liverpool.

The company said sailings for Sunday should go ahead as scheduled.
