More sailings hit by bad weather

Viking
Poor weather has affected sailings for a number of days.

More fast ferry sailings to and from the Isle of Man have been cancelled due to bad weather.

The Manx Steam Packet company said the 0845 and 1415 BST services to and from Heysham in Lancashire would not operate on Saturday.

Predicted severe gale force weather conditions also meant the company had to cancel sailings between Douglas and Liverpool at 1000 BST and 1900 BST.

The service from Douglas to Heysham on Saturday at 2000 BST was due to sail.

A number of ferry services over the past two days have faced delay or cancellation due to unsuitable weather conditions.
