The Grand Parade takes place on Saturday |
Thousands of visitors are expected to visit an Isle of Man agricultural show over the next two days. The Southern Agricultural Show is an annual event, held at Great Meadow in Malew, near Castletown on the island.
One of the highlights of the show is the Grand Parade at 1530 BST, which features the winners of the livestock classes.
Chief Minister and Castletown MHK, Tony Brown, said it provides a wonderful draw to the south of the island.
"The Southern Show is an important part of community life on the Isle of Man, it's a great occasion," he said.
"It gets the farming community together and a lot of work goes in to make it happen.
"I hope they have a very successful day and that the weather is good for everybody.
"Whilst it's not in Castletown it's very close to it, so hopefully people will come to the town and have a look round Castletown as well," he added.
