Twenty one sightings of dolphins have been reported
Anyone who spots a whale, dolphin or porpoise in Manx waters is being urged to report it to a specially set up local sightings scheme.

Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch has been set up to record the numbers of marine mammals seen in the sea off the coast of the Isle of Man.

Since the beginning of June, 21 sightings of common dolphins have been reported to the scheme.

Twenty records of harbour porpoises and four of minke whales have been taken.

Six sightings of Risso's dolphins have also been reported.

Sightings can be reported on the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch website.

The scheme works in collaboration with the Manx Wildlife Trust and the Sea Watch Foundation of the UK .
