Former Formula One World Champion Damon Hill will visit the Isle of Man for a fundraising event next month.

The 1996 champion will be the guest speaker at a sell-out charity fundraiser at the Hilton Hotel in May.

He has been invited to the island by Project 21, a charity set up to raise money for a multi-purpose centre for people with learning disabilities.

Mr Hill, who will be accompanied by his wife Georgie, is talking as the father of a Downs Syndrome child.

Comic legend Sir Norman Wisdom also supports the local charity.
