The man who could be the Isle of Man's final Lieutenant Governor, arrives on a Royal Navy vessel on Friday. Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks, 58, who is the Queen's representative on the island, is sailing in on HMS Severn.
Next Tuesday, Tynwald is due to debate proposals to change the title governor to Crown Commissioner.
Sir Paul's swearing in will take place in Castle Rushen on Monday. Previous Governor Air Marshal Ian Macfadyen OBE, relinquished his post last month.
