Jeremy Clarkson has been filming Top Gear on the island |
TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson says he is becoming increasingly frustrated by what he calls "militant dog owners" walking on his land on the Isle of Man. The presenter of BBC Two's Top Gear programme says it has forced him to ban everyone from a section of the coastline near his Langness lighthouse.
It is what is known as a "permissive" path, and is not a public right of way.
Mr Clarkson claims seven sheep, which he is required to keep there by the government, have been killed by dogs.
He is currently on the island to film scenes for the new series of Top Gear.
He said that some of the persistent dog walkers were "clots", adding: "They think it is their god-given right to trample on other's people's land and kill sheep."
