Jeremy Clarkson was filming at Marine Drive on Wednesday |
Roads on the Isle of Man will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday while test drives for BBC's Top Gear are filmed. All three of the programme's stars - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - are filming on the island.
They will be reviewing three high performance cars for the BBC Two series to be shown later in the year.
Marine Drive was closed for periods on Wednesday, and the Sloc Road was also be shut off. Filming also depended on the weather.
'Fantastic television'
Executive producer Andy Wilman said: "We love the Isle of Man.
"The roads are stunning and the opportunity to grab a few hours to film on them in complete safety will allow us to make some fantastic television and hopefully do the locations proud."
The programme has been filmed before on the island.
Its main presenter Jeremy Clarkson has links to the island, and owns property there.
