Island prepares for cruise visits
Guernsey is set to have another busy cruise season with more than 70 ships scheduled to visit the island.

Of the 74 vessels, the first - the Boudicca, with nearly 1,400 passengers - is due to stop off en route from Southampton at the end of March.

The largest vessels will include the Grand Princess, with 3,100 passengers, and the Oceana with 2,272.

More than �700,000 was brought into the economy from cruise passengers visiting the island during summer 2006.

More than 80 vessels visited Guernsey in 2006, with 100,000 passengers going ashore.
