Police chief appeals to vandals
Guernsey Police's chief officer has called for greater social responsibility among islanders after a series of vandalism and arson attacks.

There have been five suspected arson attacks in the St Sampson and St Martin parishes since 10 April.

A derelict house, sheds and vehicles have been set alight, property lights damaged and graffiti daubed on houses.

Chief Officer George Le Page said offenders needed to put themselves in the place of people affected.

He said: "They have to ask themselves how would they, the perpetrator of these acts, feel if in the morning they came along and found it (property) wantonly damaged?"
