Call for islands to join forces
A business leader in Jersey is calling for the island and Guernsey to put aside "petty differences" to share education services.

Andrew Lewis, chair of the Institute of Directors, says the governments of both islands should set aside "petty differences" and work together.

He claims a single education authority could employ more teachers by reducing the number of administrators.

There are currently 900 teachers in Jersey with 300 support staff.
