No compensation for flight delays
Airline passengers in Guernsey and Jersey are being warned not to expect compensation for weather delays under new EU regulations.

A package of measures came into force on Thursday, designed to give passengers more protection.

Ian Taylor, of Channel Island airline, Flybe, says there are still a number of grey areas to be clarified.

"The regulations cover events within our control," he said. "The issue is about interpretation of the rules."

The managing director said his company would abide by the regulations but that a number of legal challenges would be launched to decide what the exceptions should be.
