Parking lack 'damaging business'
A member of Guernsey's Chamber of Commerce claims lack of car parking in St Peter Port is killing business.

Bob Bartlett has campaigned for years for a better deal for motorists in the south part of the town and says the situation has deteriorated.

He is calling for action to compensate for the loss of spaces caused by new developments such as the markets.

But Deputy Barry Brehaut says he believes the island's roads have reached saturation point.

He does not believe St Peter Port's prosperity depends on parking and wants a more creative approach to the traffic situation.
