Animal shelter has busy Christmas
About 40 animals were handed in to Guernsey's Animal Aid over the festive period in what the charity has said was its busiest Christmas ever.

Seven dogs, six cats, 11 rabbits, 13 guinea pigs and a horse were all given up around Christmas time.

Founder Sue Vidamour said she did not know why it had been such a busy time.

She said she thought in some cases many people just did not seem to know what to do with pets when they went on holiday, so just handed them in.
