Kayak cop Sean aims for Alderney
Sean Morley
Policeman Sean Morley will have paddled nearly 8,000km
A man trying to kayak solo around Great Britain and Ireland is tackling the Channel Islands this week.

Sean Morley set out five months ago to be the first person to circumnavigate the British Isles in a kayak.

The 4,950-mile (7,920km) trip includes going clockwise around every inhabited piece of land such as St Kilda, the Shetland Isles and the Channel Islands.

Mr Morley will tackle Alderney first before moving on to Sark, Jersey and then Guernsey.

All money raised is being split between the RNLI and the Marine Conservation Society.

Mr Morley is due to finish the challenge in Falmouth on 26 September.
