It is hoped to get the waste plant finished by the end of 2006
Design plans for Guernsey's controversial plant to convert waste to energy have been unveiled.

It has been criticised by local people for the affect it may have on the area.

But the Board of Administration says the plans attempt to minimise the impact of the building with special colour schemes to break up its bulk.

Work on the 100 feet high structure at Longue Hougue is expected to start in July.

The Board's plans can be seen at the Guille Alles Library, and the St Sampsons and Vale douzaine rooms.
