Police predict drink-driving success

Motorists are urged to leave cars at home or not to drink at all
Police in Guernsey say they are optimistic their latest campaign against drink-driving will see a continued decline in the number of islanders committing the crime.

Inspector Ashley Nicholas stresses potential offenders should beware, as officers are targeting smaller roads commonly used by drivers trying escape detection.

Officers are also making spot-checks in the mornings and at lunchtimes.

With just two days to Christmas motorists are being urged to leave their cars at home or not to drink any alcohol at all.
