Euthanasia group consults UK experts
The group investigating voluntary euthanasia in Guernsey has been consulting members of the UK's House of Lords.

Members of the Death with Dignity working party invited Lord Joel Joffe and Baroness Ilora Finlay of Llandaff to the island at the end of last month.

Lord Joffe, a retired human rights lawyer, submitted the Patient Assisted Dying Private Members Bill in the House of Lords earlier this year.

Baroness Finlay is an expert on the care of terminally ill cancer patients.

The Chairman of the Working Party, Advocate Gill Dinning, says the report is being drafted and should be before the Advisory and Finance Committee early in the Spring.
