On the penultimate day of the Tour de France, the riders are set to climb Mount Ventoux, which rises nearly 2000 metres above sea level.
It is also a legendary challenge for amateur cyclists, with a growing number trying to become members of the Club des Cingles du Mont Ventoux - for those who scale it three times in one day.
