First sailing for ferry link
Alderney
It will be the first link between the two islands for almost eight years
The first ferry link between Alderney and Guernsey for seven years sets sail on Friday.

The new ferry, the Victor Hugo, began operating between the French mainland and Guernsey earlier this week.

The vessel can carry 199 passengers

The new service is being operated by Alderney Shipping.

A second boat, Catamaran Marin Marie will carry 350 passengers between Jersey and Granville.

Alderney's Public Affairs and Marketing manager, Ilona Soanes-Sands says its very good news for Alderney.
