Spring clean for island
Litter bin
The winning entry will be given a free street party
A clean-up competition is being held to make sure Guernsey looks its best for the forthcoming Island Games.

With thousands of visitors due to attend the Games, the Litter Forum wants to make sure Guernsey is in first-class condition.

The Community Clean-Up Campaign is part of the Litter Forum's 'Keep Guernsey Beautiful' strategy.

The idea is to involve islanders in improving the look of their environment.

The competition is open to any community - public or private.

Encourage tenants

Forms have been sent out to secondary schools, Douzaines and environmental groups.

The Housing Authority has welcomed the initiative and is encouraging tenants to take part.

Judging will take place in the week beginning Monday, 16 June.

The winning entry will be given a free street party.
