Only Men Aloud! have recorded a mix of traditional and modern tunes
The winners of the BBC's Last Choir Standing contest, Only Men Aloud, have topped the classical chart with their second album Band of Brothers.
The 18-strong choir from Cardiff signed a record deal following their victory in the series a year ago.
Musical director Tim Rhys-Evans said he was "extremely proud" of the singers.
The choir teamed up with Bonnie Tyler on the new album to re-record an arrangement of her hit song Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Bonnie Tyler spoke to BBC Wales Today ahead of the album's release
Mr Rhys-Evans said: "The boys have worked really hard and they deserve this success.
"When I was a child I used to wonder how Abba felt being number one, but now I know.
"The public's continued support has been truly outstanding, thank you - diolch."
The album also contains a mixture of traditional Welsh songs like Land of My Fathers and Blaenwern, alongside modern classics like Queen's Someone to Love.
Mr Rhys-Evans said: "From the beginning I wanted this album to represent our wide ranging repertoire. The arrangements have a filmic feel and Only Men Aloud are very proud of Band of Brothers."
Bonnie Tyler said: "I am absolutely delighted that the album is number one in the classical charts - this is a first for me!
"It just goes to show the strength of Jim Steinman's wonderful song, which can appeal across all genres of music."
