Boyle makes US TV singing debut

Britain's Got Talent singer Susan Boyle has made her US TV singing debut on the American version of the show.

The Scottish singer performed the 1971 Rolling Stones track Wild Horses during the live final of the talent show.

Earlier this week she was greeted by more than 1,000 fans when she arrived at a Los Angeles airport ahead of the performance.

Boyle's debut album I Dreamed A Dream - named after the song which propelled her to fame - is released in November.

The singer became an unlikely star after she appeared on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year with her rendition of the Les Miserables song.

The clip of her first appearance on the show attracted millions of YouTube hits.

Kevin Skinner, a chicken farmer from Mayfield, Kentucky, was voted the winner of America's Got Talent, receiving a $1m (£604,000) prize.

He will also headline an America's Got Talent show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted by Jerry Springer in October.

The country singer beat music quartet Recycled Percussion, crooning trio the Texas Tenors and singing sibling act Voices of Glory to win the show's fourth series.
