James McQuillan: 'I'm like Alan Shearer, good but not many medals'
Kate Walsh and Yasmina Siadatan are to go head-to-head in the final to decide who will be hired as Sir Alan Sugar's next Apprentice after a triple firing.
Hopefuls James McQuillan, Debra Barr and Lorraine Tighe all got the boot from the BBC One show after a round of interviews from Sir Alan's advisors.
It will be the second all-female final of the past five series.
Viewers will get to see who Sir Alan hires in the finale on Sunday, 7 June at 2100 BST on BBC One.
The interviews saw restaurateur Siadatan, 27, stumble over her accounts and Tighe, 36, accused of lying on her CV after overstating her length of current employment by a year.
Accounts manager Tighe put the error down to a "misprint" but also admitted her CV was "like a graveyard of skeletons".
Kate Walsh and Yasmina Siadatan will compete to be Sir Alan's Apprentice
In one of the most emotional boardroom scenes of the series, the remaining candidates broke down in tears after McQuillan, 32, was fired.
The final task will see Sir Alan decide who will walk away with a six-figure salary and a place in his business empire.
Aided by a team of previously-fired candidates, the finalists will have to design and manufacture a new box of chocolates.
They will also have to invent a brand identity, design a poster and direct a television advert, before presenting their prototypes to a room full of industry experts as well as Sir Alan himself.
Sir Alan said the two finalists were "the best we've ever had".
Walsh, 27, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be in the final and I just hope I can go all the way."
Siadatan added: "I feel honoured to have come this far and there is no way I'm going to let it slip away now."
The three fired candidates all praised the two finalists with Barr saying both were "amazing and very, very talented".
THE APPRENTICE FINAL
Find out whether Kate or Yasmina will be hired by Sir Alan
She said: "If Sir Alan Sugar didn't hire Kate it would be the second biggest mistake of his life after the first one being not putting me in the final."
Tighe added: "I would personally like Kate to win. However on this occasion I think the title should go deservedly to Yasmina. She's pretty sharp, she's pretty good."
McQuillan said: "I think he's definitely picked the right two for the final.
"I think I can see Yasmina nicking it though just because I think she's more what he's after, which is someone who's a bit of a bigger risk taker and more cavalier."
The final episode has been moved to Sunday so it does not clash with the England World Cup qualifier on 10 June, the BBC said.
