The Sinn Fein leader, Gerry Adams, has defended the expenses claimed by his party's MPs for accommodation in London - and accused other parties of "downright corruption".

The Sunday Telegraph claims he and four of his colleagues paid £3,600 a month in rent for a flat which a local estate agent estimated should cost just £1,400.

Talking to the BBC's Conor Spackman, Mr Adams said his party had no intention of paying any more than was necessary.
