It was reported Kim Cattrall did not get on with her co-stars |
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has said there are plans to "hopefully" film a sequel to the hit movie about the four New York women next year. Appearing on The Paul O'Grady Show, the 52-year-old actress said: "We will do the sequel next summer." However, she said it was "difficult getting everybody who's so incredibly busy all together at the same time". Sex and the City: The Movie, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, was a huge hit in the UK and US earlier this year. Rift denial Cattrall said everyone was committed to the first film and that they were planning to do it again. "We wanted to the first time, and now we're hopefully doing it again for the second time". The film was based on the hit US TV series, which centres around the lives of writer Carrie Bradshaw (Parker)and her friends, Samantha (Cattrall), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis). It had been reported that Cattrall and her co-stars did not get along, but in May Parker rejected the rumours. The actress told BBC talk show host Jonathan Ross that she "loved those women", and said there was no truth that there was a rift between them. In September the film was announced as the fastest-selling DVD of 2008 in the UK, shifting more than 920,000 copies on its first week of release.
