Brand quits BBC over prank calls

Russell Brand has resigned from his Radio 2 show over the lewd messages he and Jonathan Ross left on the voicemail of the actor Andrew Sachs.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Ross has issued a statement apologising for his "juvenile and thoughtless remarks".

Earlier, the BBC announced the suspension of the presenters pending the outsome of an investigation in to the incident on the 18th October.
