Comic book adventure Iron Man has topped the UK and Ireland box office chart on its first week of release. The film, based on the comic and starring Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, made �5.4 million in its opening three days. Forgetting Sarah Marshall dropped to second spot. It features Russell Brand as a sex-obssessed rock star. Children's adventure story Nim's Island, with Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin, went in at number three. Patrick Dempsey's Made of Honor debuted at number four, taking �750,000 between 2 and 4 May, with Jessica Alba's The Eye falling to number five. Black comedy In Bruges, about two hitmen starring Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes, was down to number seven with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey's adventure comedy was one place below. Happy-Go-Lucky moved up one place to nine. It is a comedy, directed by British director Mike Leigh, about a primary school teacher and her relationship with a driving instructor. And the French animated feature Persepolis was a new entry at number 10 on the chart.
