Rapper Kid Rock has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a fight in an Atlanta restaurant in 2007 in which he allegedly hit a man with a chair. Rock, born Robert Ritchie, pleaded not guilty to five counts of battery and one count of simple battery arising from last October's incident.
The 37-year-old was arrested along with five members of his entourage.
If convicted, Rock could face up to one year in jail plus a $1,000 (�503) fine for each charge.
The incident took place on 20 October at a branch of the Waffle House chain near Atlanta, Georgia, where Rock had been performing earlier that evening.
Rock and his five co-defendants waived their rights to appear at the arraignment hearing and were represented by a lawyer.
