Kylie plays down 'reconciliation'
Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue was in London to launch her bed linen range
Pop star Kylie Minogue has damped down speculation that she is back together with former partner Olivier Martinez.

The 39-year-old said: "I had dinner with my ex-boyfriend and next thing I know there's a debate about whether we're having a family.

"We didn't even talk about that. As I've maintained, we're friends."

The singer and French actor Martinez were photographed together in Paris last weekend. They split in February 2007 after four years together.

'Amicable'

The couple have maintained that they have remained "very close friends" after their "mutual and amicable" decision to part.

Minogue lived in Paris with Martinez during part of her recovery from breast cancer.

The singer underwent surgery in May 2005, days after announcing that she was suffering from the disease.

There was press speculation that the couple decided to marry shortly after Minogue's operation, which was denied at the time.

She completed chemotherapy in December 2005 and a series of photographs - taken by Martinez in Italy - were posted on her website the following April.

Minogue was in London on Tuesday to launch her new range of bed linen which she has helped to design.
