Kylie is expected to undergo treatment soon |
Kylie Minogue's spokesman has denied reports that she and her French boyfriend of two years, actor Olivier Martinez, are to marry. Minogue is recovering from surgery for breast cancer last week, which doctors said was successful. Her illness has prompted a huge response from fans.
Newspaper reports suggested the couple had got engaged after her operation to remove a cancerous lump.
Martinez starred in Unfaithful with Diane Lane and Richard Gere in 2002.
Minogue is recovering in her home country of Australia and was said to be in "high spirits".
Martinez, 39, has been with the singer for two years |
The 36-year-old singer, who had to cancel the Australian leg of her "Showgirl" world tour to undergo urgent treatment, is said to be surrounded by her closest family as well as Martinez.
Minogue, who has had 29 Top 10 hits in the UK since her 1988 number one I Should Be So Lucky, has sold an estimated 40 million records.
Fans of the singer are said to have donated 8,000 Australian dollars (3,300) to a specially-created Kylie Minogue Breast Cancer Fund in its first 24 hours.
Breast cancer is the primary cause of cancer death among Australian women, and second only to lung cancer in the US and UK.
